Gemma Degara, began her career in 2003, despite the fact that her vocation and interest date back to her childhood and her mother’s dressmaking workshop. She studied at the Llotja School of Pattern Design and, some years later, won first prize for young designer at MODAFAD 2003 with her collection entitled Arrabal Story.
This award assisted her rise in the world of fashion, and she subsequently took part in Modorra Trans, in Bilbao in 2007, and four editions of Changing Room. More recently, she presented her SS09 collection, Bushido, at the Rendez-Vous salon in Paris. She currently designs for other companies, and also for her own brand.
